The Viro Designs website is a reading site. It has no customer accounts, no shopping cart, no checkout, and no embedded analytics or advertising — so it has very little use for cookies, and we have kept it that way:

• We set no cookies of our own. Browsing the site does not require you to accept anything, and nothing tracks you between visits.
• Strictly necessary infrastructure. Our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies or use short-lived technical storage for security and load management (for example, to mitigate abusive traffic). These do not identify you to us and are not used for profiling.

Because we use nothing beyond the strictly necessary, the law does not require a consent banner — which is why you have not seen one.

For clarity, this site currently loads none of the following:

• analytics or audience-measurement tools;
• advertising, retargeting, or social-media pixels;
• cross-site tracking or fingerprinting of any kind; and
• third-party chat, embed, or personalisation scripts.

Links from this site to third-party websites (for example, our social profiles) take you to services with their own cookie practices, which their policies govern.

If we ever add non-essential tools — analytics, for example — we will add a consent mechanism first, load nothing non-essential until you allow it, and update this policy so it continues to describe exactly what the site does. The “Last updated” date above will always show the latest revision.

Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies in their settings, and can be set to refuse all cookies or to warn you before one is set. Because this site works without cookies, blocking them here should not break anything — though strictly necessary infrastructure cookies, where they occur, help keep the site secure and available.
